This week we’re going to see where our Bibles came from. But first, we have to understand that, ultimately, the Bible comes from God.
The Bible says, “all Scripture is God-breathed” and that the men who wrote it were carried along by the Holy Spirit. In other words, God used men—like prophets, kings, and scribes—to write out his words in their own unique style.
So, the original texts weren’t just the thoughts of people from long ago—they were exactly the words God wanted written down for us to know.
So, the Bible isn’t like any other book. It’s God’s Word, providentially protected by him and designed to endure forever. There’s no other work like that!
