This week we’re asking, “is climate change our biggest threat?” We’re often told YES!—and that “the science is settled.” But is it really?
No, not at all. And one reason is a lack of good data. We’ve only been measuring earth’s global temperature since the 1880s—and not very reliably! Satellite data began in the ‘70s, but even that’s had problems.
A limited and poor data set doesn’t yield good models. That’s why none of the climate models have accurately predicted future trends.
And, keep in mind, scientists all have biases that influence the computer models they create to make their predictions.
