Stephen Hawking (Part 1)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

British physicist Stephen Hawking was very influential in the field of science. In fact, his book A Brief History of Time was on the New York Times bestseller list for over 50 weeks!

Unfortunately, Hawking rejected biblical creation. He said, “When people ask me if a god created the universe, I tell them that the question itself makes no sense. Time didn’t exist before the big bang, so there is no time for god to make the universe in.”

But it’s Hawking’s logic that makes no sense. God, by His very nature, is not bound by time. What’s more, since God made all things, HE MUST HAVE MADE TIME ITSELF AS WELL! And if Hawking believes that time started with the big bang then, logically, why couldn’t time have started with GOD?

Nothing can’t produce something — the creation had a CREATOR.

And what are other problems with Hawking’s teachings? We’ll discuss them another time.
